Baked beans are high in fibre and were a chief component of the F Plan diet by Audrey Eyton, a major publishing sensation in the 1980's. You need to choose low salt and low sugar varieties as they can be high in calories. Rice is also good - but choose brown, rather than white, rice.

Any diet should be as varied as possible to make sure you get nutrients from a wide range of sources. Eating 3/4 of a tin of beans on a daily basis is not therefore recommended. Wholemeal pasta, wholemeal bread and oats are good, as are virtually any vegetable, including jacket potatoes, and all fruit, especially green bananas. Go gentle on fats and choose olive oil or hemp oil for preference.

It goes without saying that you should avoid junk food and that pretty well includes all processed food and ready meals/pies etc and anything containing hydrogenated fats (eg margarine).

Yes it's true. Your body is like an oven right, and the fire keeping the body alive is called your metabolism. Just like a fire your metabolism will slow down and eventually die if you don't feed it. So when you start eating less, your metabolism slows down and eventually it can slow down so much that you burn very little fat and everything you eat makes you gain. It's is very important to always eat more than 1200 calories a day, over at least 3 meals. When your not trying to loose weight you should eat around 2000 calories a day, and when you are trying to loose weight you can lower this some, e.g. to 1500 calories and you need to work out. Being active and eating well is something you should make a part of your life style so that you can stay fit and healthy and in a healthy weight range for the rest of your life..

can beans are filled with sugar, not good. beans alone are good source of protein. rice is ok if its brown rice, but I think you mean white rice. white rice is not good source of carbs. stay away for white anything, bread, rice, potatoes.

so the answer is no, not a good diet.
