Live your life in a manner, so that people will want what you have. They will ask you how you are able to deal with adversity, how you are able to be hopeful in all situations, how you are able to love people who are seemingly unlovable.
That will be your opportunity to witness.

You are the best witness for Christ to the people you meet in your life. Your true testimony of how Jesus had changed your life is the genuine way to share about the gospel. And when the people do "see" the changes in you, you will carry the Light of Christ. Pray to the Holy Spirit to guide you. Allow the LORD to lead you. Be a doer of the Word.

Its really hard! probably the hardest thing in my book. I have a couple mormon friends that I love a lot. However, its so hard to talk about it without offending them. I personally think its easier to be a witness to an athiest because most of them just don't understand and alot are curious. However, LDS are difficult because of how they were raised and how words of other gospels kind of just bounce off their heads.
The best approach I have found is to be the best person I can especially when I'm around them. For ex. when I am with them I don't drink or swear, I even don't drink coffee or tea. The once asked my why I don't. I told them that I don't agree with the guidlines you follow that pretain to your church but I don't drink because I love you and would hate to offend you. This I think went a very long way. Ever since then they have actually came to my and asked me about my faith.
Hope this was helpfull.
awesome question!!

Have integrity to your faith. Your actions are the true testament to where your beliefs truly lay. By this you will be a walking billboard of what Christ intended and those that see the fruit as "fine" will seek you out asking questions. Increase your knowledge and know what you believe and why, and make sure that if you are going to claim to be a "Christian" that how you live and what you believe is supported by the "Scriptures" otherwise it is not for God that you "witness", rather it is by your own self serving opinion.

In keeping with the example set by Jesus and the apostles, I (and the 6 million other members of my religion) go from house to house with the Bible. I've done so for 25 years now. The fact that our numbers have doubled in the last 20 years attest to the fact that this is the most effective way of witnessing.

Well for me I use the sneaky approach. I start off with a conversation perhaps about how the Sun never exhausts it's fuel how it burns at just the right distance away from the earth. And it never explodes or sends off a huge solar flare propelling it at us or out of orbit. And after you get them in an open mindset wiggle the lure towards God. That is just the way I prefer to fish. Take care and may God bless you spiritually.

Be there when they ask a question, and pray the Spirit guides your tongue, for it can be a mighty sword. Know that you can not change the hearts of men, so it is pointless to cast your pearls before swine. If someone doesn't want to hear they won't listen. So all you can do is be prepared so when God sends someone to you who needs divine wisdom you will have something worth telling them.

Well, first you have to be a Believer.
Now:
there is no correct way to witness.
It all comes from trusting the leading of the Holy Spirit to give you the words to say.
I have found, in my OWN witnessing, that when I totally surrender to the Holy Spirit, He WILL give you the words to say.
I hope this helps.

I wouldn't do it, because you never see religious leaders witnessing. They always have the followers do their dirty work. Every religion has a reason why people should abandon their present faith and join theirs. Religion has turned God into a competitive business.

Actions speak louder than words. All that preaching will only turn people away. Live your life as Christ taught, and if someone asks, give an answer.
Blessings to you!
