Well, I thought it was a pretty clever website, but I have to admit I don't trust intellectualism as a means of knowing what is true. It is so easy to falsify.

However, I do believe that Adam and Eve knew God, and taught of him to their children (And momof4 makes a very good point). I also believe that God reveals truth to prophets in every nation. So it is possible that the ancient Chinese God was the same person as whom we Christians worship.

Note: Just thought I should point out that Hindus also worship the same God as the Christians, just by different names and different means. The Buddhists connect with the same God... even though they may or may not actually worship him, per se. The Muslims serve the God of Abraham (ie the same God).

There is no reason to refer back to the Bible for every proof of truth, as God has given us an inner guide to truth (See John 16:13 - http://scriptures.lds.org/en/john/16/13#13 ). While the Bible contains Truth, there are also other scriptures... Even the prophets of the Bible, and Jesus as well, quote "scripture" from sources that are not found in the Bible. (See "Lost Books" - http://scriptures.lds.org/en/bd/l/40 ).

We need to be able to know the truth from our connection with God, rather than from an intellectual (and questionable) appeal to the Bible.

Of course the evolution of the Christian monotheistic god is open to debate. But, the origin may be traced to Ancient Egypt. A ruler named Ahkenaton (spelled differently in different sources) threw out the pantheon of Egyptian gods and replaced them with one sun god (the Aton). Just so happens that the Hebrews were an enslaved people living in Egypt at the time of Ahkenaton's rule. The Priest class of Egypt eventually overthrew Ahkenaton b/c of the threat his new religion presented to their livelihood/status. But, the idea may have been carried forward by the Hebrews eventually.

China by itself has no religion. Buddhism is transported from ancient India. But I am told in Qing Dynasty of China, the Emperor Jain Long is a Roman Catholic because the priest of St. Jesus went to China to distribute many science of the Western, such as geometry, physics, astrology to convince Chinese that Europe of advanced. But so far I have not yet found documents to proof that Jain Long Emperor was a Catholic or not.

Yes, protestant missionaries in China have long taught that they are the same deity. That particular deity has nothing to do with Buddhism, but many Buddhists believe that the goddess Kan-non represents Mary.
