No. In this recipe, the focus is on the flavor from the vinegar, not from the red wine. While red wine is used to make the vinegar, that taste of the finished product is substantially different from plain red wine. The recipe is also looking for the chemical properties from the vinegar.
Substituting red wine for red wine vinegar should NEVER be carried out, especially in something like a dressing, where the taste difference will certainly be much more noticeable.

You can but it won't taste like with the vinegar... don't tell any wine lover that you don't know the difference between vinegar and wine... very bad wines have sometimes the taste of vinegar! But I can assure you, the result won't be good at all!

Technically you can put anything you want on your salad, but red wine vinigar is not interchangable with red cooking wine as an ingredient.

I would suggest not buying spices until you want to prepare a dish that uses a particular spice. I just threw out about 8 spice bottles that I have had for 20+ years. When you buy spices, look first in the Hispanic section of your market. The spices are packaged in cellophane bags and cost about $1 instead of $5+ when packaged in bottles.

No, but you can use regular vinegar possibly? If it calls for vinegar you need that tart taste it provides!

No. Cooking wine contains high amounts of salt. As Emeril says "If you wouldn't drink it, don't cook with it".

No, totally different...however, you could add some of the wine to any other vinagar for color.

No, it will not produce the same taste you are trying to achieve. Just go out and get some, and neighbors are nice too!
