Parts of his article are acurate and correct. SS numbers are supposedly for the benefit of Government Employees to recieve a retirement benefit. The fact that it has become so "abused" and seemingly "required" outside of that paramiter is due to the lack of public education on the subject. As well as the lack of public vigilance regarding our governemnts actions and holding them accountable accordingly.

There is no law stating that one must have a Social Security Number. It is often used as an ID number, which may be convenient, but not required. I've refused to give mine on numerous occasions for various things not relating to SSN, SS, or taxation and have not been denied.
Hold firm on NOT giving it and you'll be surprised how much will still be available to you. If you don't give it to every Tom, Dick, or Harry when it isn't absolutely required, you'll find that ID theft damage can be mitigated somewhat. At least you won't make it so easy for ID thieves to wreck your life.

That's one item that you can do whatever you want, but it will be you down the line that will lose. Other than your birth certificate, the social security card gives to somewhat of an identification of who you are. Can't be that bad to have one, the Governor in Oregon has made it mandatory that all illegals the want drivers licenses have to have a social security card.
Give some thought to needing or not needing a card, there can be alot of rights before you really find the reason not to have one.

While I did not find any blatant lies in the article, there was some misleading information. He indicated for example that you are not required to provide a SSN when you apply for a job. While this is technically correct, a business can refuse to hire you for not providing requested information. No company that wants to extend you credit has to do so if you refuse to provide your SSN.
So go forth and tell people no. They can say no as well.

no person is acquainted with if it is the form the mark of the beast will take. however the mark would be achieved in this style of way that folk would be deceived into accepting it. It wont be voted on it is going to likely be mandatory because of the fact they be attentive to if voted on it wont pass. Marshall regulation would be triumphant and we can all ought to band jointly and combat. rather of scuffling with one yet another we could continuously be gazing the actual enemy

There are also articles and books claiming that you don't have to pay taxes. I wouldn't advise it.
If you work (legally) you need a S/S number.
If you are illegal, many employers will charge you "taxes" but it wont go to your account but to someone elses pocket.
Can you live in USA without a soc sec #? Yes. Do you need one for everyday living? Yes.
I hope you didn't pay for that article, >grin<

SS numbers were formed in order to keep track of U.S. tax payers. The IRS had to have a way to tax people, which is illegal.
What most people do not know is who is entitled to see this number. Schools and colleges do not need it-they can assign a student number. We give the number away to just about anyone who asks, thinking they are entitled to it. Most who ask for it aren't.
