I love it!!! You should definately do it!! As a matter of fact, I'm 29 and an interior designer and as I was reading what you wrote, I was thinking, "wow this is fun!!!" And then when I found out you were only 11, I was so impressed!!! It sounds perfect for you... do it!! The only suggestion I have (which you may be doing already) is paint the wall with the stripes green first, let it dry then paint the brown stripes on top. Brown goes over green easier then green goes over brown!! Heck, you can always find some neat pictures to break thing up!!
You ROCK!!

My advice: choose light and neutral colors, not multiple colors, painted stripes etc. The reason is simple: you can add colors and patters to any room with pictures, curtains, bedspreads etc. When you a get tired of the colors and want a change, it's much easier to change the curtains than to repaint the room.
If you want to, you can paint just one wall in a different color (green, brown...) or use a patterned wallpaper on one wall, and paint the other three walls in the same neutral, light color.
You can get some more ideas from www.digsmagazine.com .

If you like the mint green and brown look, as I do. Forget the Strip deal unless you only put it on the wall that is behind your headboard, then paint the rest of the walls a soild Green, and get brown blankets and pillow cases. For an acent color, you may want to put up gold/mustard colored curtains with gold/mustard colored throw pillows.

I think your choices sound really fantastic.......go for it...the bedding is beautiful. I have my family room painted a very dark "Glen Green" and truly love it. Accents in gold frames. Other colors are burgundy, camel, with pale green drapes on the sliders. Furniture is a med-light oak which stands out against the walls. Purples, or lavendars make this room pop...as in my lavendar hydrangea when in bloom, and in a vase on the table. Greens are very nice with the purples too....

I love the comforter! I'd say paint the bottom half of the walls brown and the top half the green of that comforter; it'll look much better. I'd also suggest not doing brown, it'll make your room seem smaller!!! :)

Suggest you paint three wals green; and head of bed wall in stripes.
Horizontal will make wall look wider; vertical stripes will make it look taller [ but looks really nice at head of bed. ]

Good combination sweetie... and the comforter looks good. Make sure the green isn't too dark otherwise it will be overwhelming to the brown.
