Cardamom Sandwich Cookie?

Someone made these delicous cookies for a Christmas Party. I never got a chance to get the recipe, Can you help?

They had cardamom and cinnamon and a vanilla filling in the middle. They used a meat mallet with bumps to put a design on the top of the cookie.

That cookie sounds really interesting, a different type of cookie.

In a search I found several different recipes, but none exactly like you were looking for.

There are several Swedish and Finnish cookie recipes that use cardamom and cinnamon together, but they didn't have a recipe for a filling that you could use to turn them into sandwich cookies.

I'm not a fan of cardamon.I used it in a pie crust once and it gave it a weird aftertaste.
