If he's eating a reasonably balanced diet, then don't worry about it. Offer him new foods from time to time, but don't say anything to try and persuade him to eat, or make a big deal of it, though of course if you're eating the same thing, you can mention ( to someone else) how yummy it is.

Sooner or later he'll try new foods. I had a toddler who was extremely picky but I never made a fuss - gradually, as he got older, he started trying out other foods out of interest.

The rule in my house with my 20 month old, is that you have to at least TRY a new food, or if its something she is not used to eating all the time. She usually won't put it in her mouth. So, instead, I've taught her "where's your tongue?" and get her to stick out her model by mocking me and then I put the food on her tongue (like mashed potatoes or something). it is so hilarious because it takes her by surprise. She usually ends up liking it and asking for another bite.

Good luck!

My fiance has a 3 year old and when he was younger he was the same way. This sounds kinda weird but he would always say he didn't like stuff so I would put a lil' bit of it if I could (like the sauce of whatever is is) and put it on his lip and he would lick it off and end up liking it and eat it. It especially worked with icing and sweets lol!

Put it on his plate and tell him that THAT is lunch/dinner. If he doesn't want it, he doesn't have to eat it, but he will not get anything else. If he was that hungry he'd eat it. The rule at my house was always take at least 3 full bites, then you didn't have to finish if you didn't like it.
