i have always thought that was some one who "got around". so then why if a guy is trying to get with a girl (in any way), and is rejected, does he call her a slut? here's the deal. my ex, who i did not have the best relationship with, sent me an IM today and asked if we would ever get back together and i said probably not because im w/ someone i plan on marrying. and he replies by saying "i never should have got with you i should have waited on ______ you're nuthin but a shlut!" and when i asked him how that makes me a shlut he had no response. so yahoo aswerers i am asking you.... why would a girl be called a shlut because she DOES NOT want to do something sexual or be with a guy... isnt that the opposite of a shlut? guys feel free to answer as well.

wow, your situation sounds alot like what Im going through right NOW. lol. I moved about October of 2006 to a different state, while dating my boyfriend of 8 months we tried a long distance relationship..well after a bout a month of not being able to see eachother things became hazy in our relationship.( i couldnt trust him, he couldnt trust me} well i told him that we would just be friends. well some time had passed and yea he would call me reguraly and i did the same for him. well about May of this year I had known a guy from my church. Hes my age and we have a lot in common. We started by just hanging out and going to the movies and what not. well one thing led to another and we were dating. We have been ever since, and now my EX keeps calling me and trying to get back with me and telling me that he loves me and I cant say that to him, because my feelings have changed!! Im in love with a different guy. and Im sure you can do the same! just tell him your true feelings and im sure everything will work out, and if you are to get married CONGRATS!!! good luck!

The anger he got inside for not being able to reach you (metaphorically) makes him unreasonable and his self deffense throws on you whatever his mind of the dirtiest that can hurt. He doesn't think that of you personnaly and truly deep down himself, but because u didn't act like he wabted you to or didn't respond to him or disagreed with or blocked him makes you the worst person out there, the most horrible and horrid one, sweetheart, u r the winner, he is just in a burning hell, and u must not give any attention whatsoever to what he says, you know what you are and that's all that matters, and ur new bf as well =)

Hi

Don't worry about him. He is just acting poorly because you dumped him. Sounds like that was a great idea by the way, and congratulations on showing that loser the door.

You are not a slut. But people who are just being mean, try to chop you and your character to bits by using nasty terms. They have no decency and no self control. Just delete the message and his number and all thoughts of this bone-headed loser.

I wish you well for your future. May you have many wonderful times with the right man for you.

Cheers

You are not a shlut,he is just immature and you do well to leave him in his world of ignorance and be happy with your life whether it is with someone or not.
Do not fret any longer on what he says or does,be happy your no longer with such a schmuck.

shlut, slut its the same thing. girls who get around, or men for that matter

your ex is trying to hurt your feelings, he probably just tried to think of the most hurtful name he could call you
dont take it to heart

sorry I'm not a guy so I can't speak for them. there is a double standard; this is reality whether or not it's fair. however, we women would do well to set our own standards and not sleep around just because others (mostly men?) do so.

the term slut is derogatory and we should perhaps come up with a male equivalent to describe their catting around. tomcat isn't really offensive and they might take it as a compliment.

people? what do you all think of the double standard and of using derogatory terms for women?

You misunderstood the comment. A girl who doesn't want to do someting sexual is called
a S L U C K not a S L U T.

If you have nothing to offer a man except for your body, then you are a slut. If that is not true, then you are not a slut.

You shouldn't have to ask Yahoo answers. You should know for yourself and if you don't know, well now is the time to decide if it's true or not.

It has nothing to do with the meaning of the word. The guy put himself out there to see if he could get back with you. You said no. He was too immature to accept that things change and he was hurt. His ego got bruised because he took a chance and it failed. So...in response, he lashes back at you with something that he feels could do similar or worse damage to your ego. Its a typical, protect the ego counter-strike.

Unless you really are one and are hiding that from us :) j/k
