Numbness in the toes is almost always caused by something putting pressure on a nerve. The most common causes of excess pressure are shoes that are too tight or the nerve getting pinched at the ankle joint from some type of orthopedic problem such as tarsal tunnel syndrome.

You need to see a chiropractor...sounds like a pinched nerve or muscle in your leg. Get it taken care of now before permanent damage is done. Best of luck.

As the others said - get it looked at. There is a condition but I can't remember the name, that this will happen when exposed to cold also but goes away when it gets warm. I have this happen occasionally.
