I hardly ever mention religion in real life - unless someone else brings it up first, in which case I will be as respectful to them, as they are to me... probably more so.

On an anonymous internet forum, theists tend to be more predatory and aggressive, and so.. as an atheist... my answers tend to be more forceful .

at the end of the day, there as just as many spiteful atheists as there are spiteful christians, muslims, hindus, etc

Some of us are, but far more are called spiteful and aggressive, because people of faith are overly sensitive about their religion.

For instance, many Christians have no problems calling Islam a religion of violence, claiming that the facts are there for all to see in the Quran. However, when an Atheist points to similarly violent text in the OT, they are called God haters and spiteful.

I don't know about spiteful but a few take an aggressive stance, although not in a 'bomb the pro-life clinic' kinda way.

Some of the Christians I've come across on this site are hateful. To them I can be aggressive and spiteful. It is not usually part of my nature.

Depends on the issue and with whom.

Generally, I'm not a spiteful or aggressive person. However, there are some issues that I'm more passionate about.

If someone I knew told me there were pixies living under their bed, I would laugh.

When people tell me there is an invisible man who lives in the sky and watches everything we do, I laugh harder.

Not all opinions are equal.

Some are so absurd as to be not worth debating.

If atheists sometimes seem rude, it is because they find that the only appropriate response to a daft belief is ridicule.

I don't think I've ever encountered an atheist being either spiteful or aggressive. They always seem pretty decent to me, in as much as one can generalise about an entire section of society.

No and no.

If you classify putting forward good arguments as spiteful and aggressive, then I guess you can think like that. But in the conventional sense - no.
