Harvest Moon Late Harvest Estate Zinfandel. Its got a fruity taste to it but its not overly fruity like the Zin's you'd find at your local market. Its dark and although their is a definite raspberry taste to it the pepper the wine maker adds to it balances out the taste. Check out the website if your interested. They only sell it in small bottles so its a good buy for a romantic night for two.

Burgundy.
It has such a different taste profile, earthy and dark, but also light bodied. It pairs well with food, from steak, turkey, to anything with gravy or mushrooms in it, even good with pasta and red sauce. Plus it is good to just sip w/o food and enjoy the depth of aromas. And people who are really into wine can enjoy it as well as novices.

Although it is not w/o it's problems; many poor years, quality varies, and the good stuff is very pricey.

My favorite wine is my next one.

Actually, I like dry reds. They are so drinkable and go with so many foods. Even Pinot Noir goes well with many white meats.

If I had to choose, I would choose Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, or Chambourcin.

OK, I will have a Chambourcin.

Santa Margarita's Pinot Grigio...because I'm not a big red meat eater and it goes so well with chicken and seafood...My husband makes this amazing Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo, and when I pair with a glass of Pinot Grigio...I am in heaven
