what types of foods are you snacking on? If you change the types of foods that you snack on--go for veggies, fruit, nuts, then that may help you with the weight loss.

Are you snacking because you are hungry or bored? If you are hungry, then you are probably not eating enough at meal times or maybe your body requires several small meals instead of the traditional 3 big meals. If you are bored then you need to find another activity to keep you occupied and to help stop the mindless gnoshing.

Depending on the type of exercise you are doing, you may be building up muscle. Muscle is heavier than fat--1 lb of fat takes up a lot more space than 1 lb of muscle. How do your clothes fit?

Many times we underestimate the amount of food we eat and overestimate the amount of activity we engage in.

Keep a food and exercise journal for 2 weeks. Write down everything that goes into your mouth. What it is, how much of it there is, write down how you were feeling when you ate or drank the food (this will help you to decide if you are a stress eater or a bored eater or if you were really hungry). Write down the amount of activity you are doing--what specifically are you doing and for how long. How do yo physically feel? Do you sweat, does your heart rate go up?

Also check your height, weight and frame size against a good height/weight chart. You may discover that you are actually the weight you are supposed to be for your height and build or may not be very far from it.

Don't judge your size by what you see in magazines, many of the models are naturally thin with a very high metabolism, even more of them are still children who have not finished growing or filling out yet and have not put their adult weight on, quite a few of the ones that aren't naturally thin have eating disorders that help them maintain what is for them an unhealthy weight, and an even smaller minority of them are not biological females and don't put on weight in the same places a biological female would. Add in photoshopping/manipulation of the photographs and the layout artist will elongate and trim bodies to make them appear taller and thinner than they are in real life.

Good Luck!

I don't know if that's how most overweight people are however my mother is that way. When she goes on a eating regimen, she eats little or no and handiest eats veggies and some thing that says "fat free". It's like she has no snatch on the proposal of a healthful eating regimen. Letting them recognize that it's ok to eat junk every as soon as in a even as as long as you might be healty for essentially the most part may actually be helping them. Hope that is sensible. Additionally what you stated about fats virtually is offensive. "fat" is quite a substance in your body, it isn't an outline of an whole individual. Some people are different. I tried low fat dieting for a long time with exercise and never saw any results. Then, I tried Atkins, which is low carb and it worked wonders for me. I guess my body is carb sensitive and low fat foods are usually high in carbs. When you snack... try healthier foods such as fruit. Go see a doctor if you continue to not lose weight, you may have a thyroid problem.

Well, o.k., step number 1 - stop snacking. Everything you eat counts.

You aren't losing weight because you are eating more calories than your body burns. Period.

You need to figure out how much you are eating (www.calorieking.com), and how much you are burning (www.polarusa.com).
