The toyota is the best as far as commuting goes. The carrolla or camry will give you the most for your money. An alternative is the prius, with the best gas milage.
Honda Civic hybrid will also give you great gas milage, but the long-term wear and tear from commuting might get the best of this car.
As a commuter for over 10 years, I can tell you from personal experience, go with the camry. It is comfortable, affordable, and gets great mpgs.

Any good used car can drive 60miles a day... I drive 50 a day in a Ford Explorer, a Kia Sportage, Dodge minivan or a Kawasaki motorcycle. They all work fine...

60 miles (at hwy speed) is almost exactly 1 hour of driving.
At street speed it is almost exactly 2 hours of driving.
Any car can do that. Even a junker.

Oh by the way, I have a 94 Civic (182,000 miles) and last year I drove it from NYC to Chicago (800 miles) in one day. The next day I drove it back (another 800 miles). That's 1,600 miles in 2 days.
Now that's some junker!
Good Luck.

Almost any car with an engine can go 60 miles PER DAY...
Heck, you could do that on foot in a little over 20 hours.

I have a Ford Taurus, and i really like it. It's excellent in snow and rain, it has 6 cylinders, so its got plenty of oomph, yet it still gets about 27 miles/gallon. I got mine used, with 26,000 miles and paid $10,995.00. I commute 110 miles a day (and then some) so I can highly recommend it!

If it runs they can all go 60 miles a day. Single gallon of gas, per charge, you need to give a little more info.
