Because, any gochar (VISIBLE) form is not that much sufficient to hold him completely.

Hindu faith says that God cannot be bound to any particular type or name or form or any other tangible thing. God is always all that and more.

Idol worship is okay because God is in the idol as also everywhere else. But saying that God is in the idol alone is incorrect.

God can be given any loving name - and most Hindu gods have more than 108 names. Yet, these names are not enough to contain God. So the 330 million names by which Hindus address God are all correct and unique - but not sufficient. That is why it is easy for a Hindu to pray to Jesus or Allah with the same fervor as any other God.

In Hinduism, God is famous for the stories he weaves. He himself comes as a demon and also as it's slayer - thereby showing to other souls that truth is divine. God has three basic forms that of the creator, the preserver and also the destroyer. And God is beyond that.

That's why the term Agochar ... incomprehensible.

The Hindus I work for speak of one God, but I know they have many little gods. (a magnet on the cash register with a picture of their money god) I don't "sweat" what they believe. I believe that Jesus came for the sheep of the tribe of ISRAEL>>>Abrahams seed, the ten tribes that migrated north and crossed over the Caucus Mountains and ended up in Scotland, England, Canada, and yes this land of milk and honey, the good ol USA. I believe Jesus is the word for these "spiritual" peoples that are true Israel. Just as in Christianity, I see some Hindus that are "lukewarm in their faith. I do believe that after the resurrection of Christ that ANY can be adopted in, but I do believe that God has a plan for other peoples though their beliefs and what God has given them to believe. I have talked about God with my bosses wife and I feel she really loves God, but her husband, my boss, he's pretty lukewarm, although he goes through the "motions" by praying with his family in the morning and wearing the red dot on his forehead. (red dot symbolizes that they had their head bowed at Gods feet when they prayed) Also , alot of Hindus go by the name Patel. When I ask them why they said it was the name of "their" first man and that that man kept the earth,(?) I thought that was "strange" since The Adam was the tiller of the ground.(first farmer)

a-Gochar means 'beyond reach'. He is beyond reach, living as an effulgent person in grand splendour, in his physical kingdom beyond the changing/evolving Universes/matter [ that goes through big bang/crunch]. He is only beyond comprehension, form, image, knowledge, meaning HE exists in a Form that cannot be seen with our material/ego eyes/mind. HE is not so, with those people whose 'attributive' consciousness/awareness is very high and is attainable
by Bhakti alone/Total Devotion. [Bhakti eka Gochara]

He is like water because it has no shape but whenever you pour it any utencil that takes the shape. He only comes into shape when you meditate taking into mind His any of the picture otherwise He is only light.

If you worship Him as Krishna surely He will come to you in the form of Krishna. If you worship Him as Hanuman He will change himself too.

If you meditate in the form of light than He comes as light but only in between you.

"Atam Ko Parmatam Jaano"

If you can see your soul you can see Him because this is light given by Him.And amazing fact is An ant is having the same light as us but God has not given them the power to meditate.
