Well, He was known for partying with sinners. And He was a particular favorite of the common person; no way He could have done that without a certain merriment to Him lol.

Think about it, if you were going to a party and found out He was going too, would you want Him there if He was like some of these dour Christians we see today? Doubt He'd get invited a second time if that were the case lol

Yes I believed He laughed and had fun. I'd have to review the scriptures but think about it.

Man is created in God's image. Jesus was both God and man. I know God has a sense of humor, He gave me, mine. Jesus had a sense of humor too. He had to power to do anything He wanted but chose to do the Fathers will. Think about all He could have done but didn't. Jesus had great self control.

He also had great insight. He knew not all would understand Him.

Jesus most definitely had fun, had a sense of humor, and likely laughed. He was from a good, well-liked family and was part of the community before he did his three years of preaching. If you want an example of his humor, just read some of the parables he told. They're very often tongue-in-cheek and quite funny. Or the comparison of pointing out the splinter in someone else's eye before removing the plank from your own. The comparison itself is rather amusing, especially if you imagine it actually happening.

I believe he did, he had every reason to be happy, he was filled with the love of god. And yeah i think he would have had fun at the wedding. We, as christians, are supposed to be trouble makers (to an extent of course - anyone else heard of audacious? :D) not just sit back and do nothing, and that is a bit fun.

Jesus wept when His friend died.He got angry at the money changers.I think He probably laughed too.Clean humour and fun is not sinful,so I see no reason to suggest that He didn't laugh.

He was not morose. He enjoyed life. Yes, He laughed. He did not indulge in the frivolity that we seem to enjoy so much. His manner drew people, and especially children were drawn to Him. That is not the mark of an overly serious person.

Connie D,
Jesus was not a drunkard. He drank wine, but he didn't drink it to the point of getting intoxicated. The bible teaches that drunkeness is a sin and God can't sin.

RWell I can't give you the exact quote, but one of the reasons the Pharisees used for Him not possibly being the Messiah was because He was a drunkard and hung out with the riff Raff. He turned water into wine not grape juice.

His first recorded miracle was performed at a wedding. He probably had a good time there.
