well.... yeah - if you raise a kitten, she will pretty much think you are her Mother after you adopt her! Have you had a kitten/cat before? A kitten requires a lot of attention and love, especially in that first year since a cat already matures to a young adult by the first year. You may need to require some attention during its second year, only after that the cat starts to calm down.
Here's a question: Why did you get a kitten now when you are also trying to have a baby? Granted, you aren't pregnant yet, but knowing this information - yes, a cat (or dog) can get jealous of this new addition. But Siamese are usually more docile cats out of the breeds and more tamable, so you may be fine. But I would seriously think whether this is a good idea with your husband - and you may not give her the attention she deserves once you do have your baby. Your kitty deserves a loving home no matter what.

That is rediculous! :) Your little kitten will accept your baby the way that she accepted you and your husband. You have to keep in mind, that you never want to leave your baby alone with ANY pets though - Ninoshka might accidentally scratch or frighten your baby because she's going to want to curl up with the soft, cuddley human, but she's not going to jealously fly into a rage! When the new baby does arrive, introduce them slowly - allow your cat to smell the baby and give kitty lots of petting while she sniffs. She'll be purring around baby in no time!

No, cats arent that way! dont worry abt been jealous, never will harm babies, only when are sad dont search for company of the owner and isolate herself.
I have a siamese too, female, are very gentle and a bit distant, just in case see several times how your kitten reacts to your baby... but, iam sure nothing will happen:)

No. She'll be fine with your child.
My husband brought home two kittens while I was pregnant with my son. They never bothered him when he was tiny because they were afraid of him when he cried. Eventually, he didn't cry so much and when I put him down on a nap mat in the sun, the little female Ginger used to snuggle up at his back and nap with him. They never got jealous and never hurt him and they all grew up together. Ginger became my sons special favorite.
My son is 16 now and we are all a little sad because both of those lovely cats died this year and we miss them sorely.

Siamese are better in pairs so get her another siamese friend. Don't get rid of her, it wouldnt be fair. But when you have a baby, dont leave pets and child alone together.
It also dangerous for pregnant women to clean out litter tray, so that will be your fellas job, shame!

She might indeed experience some jealousy. Give her a lot of attention right now. Chances are pretty good that after the baby comes, she'll actually help you take care of him!
I've seen cats who would watch over sick infants, and one who actually taught a baby how to crawl- and later on how to walk.
