Yes, some people do switch religions, including from Buddhism or atheism to Islam or other religions. These days, though, more people are leaving religion than entering it.

I do note that the person "felt something missing", so it sounds like religion satisfied an emotional need. Religion is good at taking advantage of emotional insecurity. Unfortunately, humans have been emotional animals for far longer than reasoning ones, so emotional hooks frequently trump any evidence and reason.

I do think this is a good example of why atheists should teach their children about religion, when they come to a reasonable age. Without it, they are open to such emotional manipulation. I also note that the person in the video got hooked on religion because nobody told her about it. She said she was ignorant about religion. This, and the usual set of human emotional insecurities, allowed religion to really influence her. She was basically blindsided.

It was good of you to use some one else information but you have forgotten the rules of debate when posting a question you have forgotten to put your personal rationale to your question. So as an Agnostic theorist say who cares anyway, I collect 2 points as I go past Go.

ultimately, it's up to each individual to decide whether to believe in a specific religion or not at all, that is a defining characteristic of free will
