I think my husband was hot and undid his jacket, but men are supposed to keep their jackets buttoned while standing.

By the way...

It doesn´t bother me, but my husband wants others to know about this.

I don't think a lot of men are as clued up on wedding etiquette but to be honest it is just not something I would have noticed or cared about, it's one of those minor little details that just don't matter in the grand scheme of things. I guess if it really matters to a bride then she should tell her groom that she wants it done that way, but really there is more than enough to think about!

My husband wears a suit every day to work so he knows the proper ways, and I belive most of the men he works with do the same. Maybe if you have to wear a suit everyday its just something that you know, but how could you know if you arent used to wearing a suit?

I wouldnt worry about it or let your husband wear it, the groom actually sets the jacket rules for the wedding anyway, the men will watch him for what he does with his jacket as once he does something the men can as well. So he wasnt all that off, plus, it was a button, its not like he walked around with his fly open and his shirt sticking out! I am sorry this is bothering him.

I told the guys the only time I cared about their jackets was during the pictures and during the ceremony. At the reception, they all took their jackets off and danced the night away. As long as they are comfortable, etiquette can go out the window.

By the end of our wedding reception, my husband was wearing just the vest and pants from his tux! He was having way too much fun at the reception!

My husband will be wearing a short sleeved shirt and rolled up linen pants at our beach wedding.

Actually, that isn't wedding etiquette, it's suit/tux etiquette. Most men know of this, or they do it anyway because it's more comfortable.

IMO if my groom wants to wear his tux unbuttoned that is perfectly fine, if he wants it buttoned that is fine too.

My fiance and his groomsmen are wearing jackets without buttons, so luckily, this isn't an issue for them!

Mine did fine all on his own. It's pretty obvious - for men used to wearing suits.

During the ceremony, I would care, but during the reception it wouldn't matter as much.
