flush out your ear with peroxide,it will loosen it and help you out, most doctors will tell you the same thing, just tip your head over the sink and pour some in it and let it sit for a few minutes and repeat it as many times needed to break up the wax and to flush it out. goodluck.

You might have ear wax that has hardened and won't come out easily. If you like to spend money, go buy the products that are sold in your area to soften ear wax, and then you can flush your ear with warm water and hydrogen peroxide, such as described by others. But, olive oil works just as well, at a fraction of the cost. You probably have it in the kitchen already. A few drops every day, and before long the wax will loosen, and you can flush it out, and be back to hearing out of that ear.

You dont need to clean your ears every day. People clean their ears out too often. Wax is produced in our ears for a reason.
My grandmother always told me never to stick anything in your ear thats smaller than your elbow. And its true. Your ear drum is way to delicate to go sticking things in there.
If you do want to clean your ears out occasionally buy one of the ear cleaners on the market such as EarClear, Audiclean etc - talk to a pharmacist.

well rocker you think if you have cotton tips and use them to clean you ears you are just pushing the crap further into your ear. but you need to get it out i hear you saying. go to a chemist and see if you can get some drops for your ears that help to disolve the wax, you might be able to buy a kit to flush your ear but i think you should really discuss it with your doctor cause there might be a medical reason behind the hearing loss, that they might be able to treat you for.
just like your vision you need to treat it very seriously.
another cause might be industrial deafness, commonly caused by hearing very loud sounds for long periods of time.

even better use a syringe to gently squirt hot water in & let it go out
