O.K. Your child is born in India & her birth certificate issued under THE REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS ACT, 1969. (check it is mentioned on the top of this certificate). Now section 14 of this Act provides Registration of name of child – Where the birth of any child has been registered without a name, the parent or guardian of such child shall within the prescribed period give information regarding the name of the child to the registrar either orally or in writing and thereupon the Registrar shall enter such name in the register and initial and date the entry.
So get her name registered under this section & get a new birth certificate with her name mentioned on it. Next as you require this birth certificate for her dependent immigration/ Visa, so get is Apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs at CPV Division, Patiala House, New Delhi to be used for any foreign transactions like issue of visa etc. These all documents have first to be authenticated by the designated agencies in the State from where the document has been issued. In case of personal documents like birth certificate, marriage certificate, affidavits powers of attorney etc, Home Department/General Administration Department are the designated authorities. In case of educational documents certificates/diplomas/degrees etc, State Governments have now opened Regional Authentication Centers (RACs) at various States from where the document should first be attested. Documents attested by these authorities then need to be presented to MEA for issue of Apostilles. Once these educational certificates & this affidavit regarding change of name are properly apostilled you can use them for her visa purpose. This the latest legal position with regard to use of any personal or educational certificate for any foreign transaction including seeking visa on the basis of these documents. This apostillisation of certificate will be applicable for your wife's birth certificate & your marriage certificate too, don't forget getting these to apostilled.
Hope this legal information be will sufficient for you !

No there is no problem in getting the visa as they might not even ask for her birth certificate, you have valid passport in which they will find every details about your daughter like date of birth, name, father's and mother's name etc...But still you have to carry her birth certificate in which her father's and mother's name would have already been mentioned.

offcourse there will be a problem. A birth certificate without a name sounds crazy enough. Tell the issuing authorities to cancel the present BC and issue a new one with complete details.

Absolutely, it WILL NOT be allowed to be used to obtain a visa. You need to contact the state and obtain a valid birth certificate.

If all it says is 'baby girl' then it could be your birth certificate, or mine as far as they are concerned. It HAS to say SOMETHING and if it does't say her name, does it say 'baby girl' ??? or WHAT??? If it's blank, then it's not even a real birth certificate.

It's not all that difficult to obtain a new birth certificate.

It is normal. No problem. You can request for addition of name in birth records. After that, you can get new copy with name.
