In Afrikaans you would say the following:
1. I love you: "Ek is lief vir jou"
2. I Miss you: " Ek verlang na jou"
Even though we have 11 official languages 90 %of the population understands and speaks afrikaans.

South Africa has four main languages and many others. The languages most spoken are Xhosa, Zulu, English and Afrikaans. Which one do you want?
