1) Atheists don't believe in gods, a person who simply 'denies' your god is not an atheist, more a religious rebel.

No there are no similarities in the religions. (Muslims) grow up in an area(or are taught by parents or others) where they are taught that Islam is correct... Does this sound familiar... if you were born in Iran would you be muslim? Most likely!

If you are asking if we make up reasons to not believe in the christian god, no, we do not. We believe in our religions just as much as you believe in yours.

We have to accept that there are 10,000 religions in the world giving us less than 1%chance of choosing the correct religion. This is why we have to respect everyone. We wont know until after death(or never... because we would just be dead) if we are right or wrong.

This is just simple minded solution to keep the 'enemies' of extremist Christians, there is no connection between homosexuality and atheism, Islam is not a polygamist religion but oddly enough Mormonism is... now wait I'm just a gay loving atheist but isn't that a branch of Christianity. I see there are more undeniable similarity between the muslims and the christians.

They both believe in an imaginary god.
They both would kill people for their belief.
