hello, i went out in the rain and i think water got into my car key transmitter. now my car won't start! anyway i could go around it and start the car using just the key?

Thanks to you all. i had to let it lie for a day to dry out i suppose and now it's working again.
thanks for all you suggestions. i did try the hair dryer trick but unfortunately it didn't give immediate result. but the idea was great !

if you can open them it will be better if you also dry them to the inside

If the car is under warranty, then just take it back to the dealer. If it is out of warranty, then I would replace the battery first. If that doesn't do it, then take it back to the dealer and get another one, even if you have to pay for it.

using a hair dryer, on air only....blow out the unit...once your sure all the water is out,...try new batteries....if it doesn't work then...call a tow truck.
