You have asked the same question, twice, whether you realize that or not.
Reverse bias test is always going to have a high resistance reading, unless the junction is bad. Never try to measure a junction, be that a transistor, or diode, in circuit. The device has to be isolated from anything that might be in parallel to it.

Pn junction is essentially a diode; so resistance if quite low when forward biased, high when reverse biased
