More than 3600 mg a day could be considered an overdose. Overdosage symptoms would include double vision, drowsiness, slurred speech, diarrhea, and breathing difficulty .

It's hard to do. Gabapentin (Neurontin) is a pretty safe drug.

Acute overdoses of up to 49,000 mg have been reported. They got some double vision, slurred speech, drowsiness, lethargy and diarrhea, but all recovered with supportive care.

If you are symptomatic from a Neurontin overdose, the drug can be removed form the body by hemodialysis. If your kidneys don't work well, the dosage should be reduced.

Side effects are common, even at regular dosages, and include dizziness, somnolence, and GI symptoms.
