why do you confuse those that are blind??
jesus wont appear before them, or anyone until the battle of armageddon in the middle east (world war) when he ascends from heaven on to the mount of olives......to bring an end....
but there will be 'false jesus' who proclaim to be God...that arent.....why do you suggest that, so they will be deceived? please think before you speak....
in love i share my heart.

If Jesus was to appear to me, I may start believing in him and a supreme being, but he would have to go a very long way to convince me that the Xtian church is his true church. Its not the idea of a supreme being that most atheists find unappealing, its the hypocrisy of their representatives on earth. and the fact that no one religion actually provides the answers we seek and yet each one claims to be the one true religion. If Jesus actually did exist most likely he was just a man who thought it would be nice if everyone treated each other equally, in fact numerous historical documents have emerged (and been quashed by the church) stating exaclty that.

It would take a fair amount of convincing; extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. If he could tell me the ultimate theory of everything, and how it prescribes the masses of all of the fundamental particles, I'd happily climb on board; Einstein spent the last years of his life looking for such a theory, and never found one. Neither has anyone else.

Yes, I would! Now you can't say that I deliberately reject Jesus. But since he'll never appear, I will never be a christian.
What if the Flying Spaghetti Monster appears in front of you?

If Jesus appeared to me, Jesus would tell me not to become a Christian. You seem to forget how anti-religion the guy was.

Nope... Even if Jesus suddenly appeared and proved he was who he claimed to be I wouldn't join Christianity....
Simply believing a deity exists does not constitute joining a religion that is flawed far beyond worshiping invisible friends...

Yeah sure, I'll convert the moment I see him. So go ahead give him a phone call, anytime your ready... I will be waiting. And tell him to bring something better than magic tricks. I need proof he is who he says he is.

Yeah, if he stops by I'll offer him cookies, too.
Sure, I'll convert if I see Jesus. But only if I see Jesus, not if someone tells me "you saw Jesus"
