Alpha is Ic/Ie, so if Ic is 15 mA, Ie = alpha times 15 mA. The difference flows out the base:

Ib = Ic - alpha Ic = Ic(1 - alpha) = 15*(1 - 0.9985) = 15*0.0015 = 0.0225 mA

Beta is Ic/Ib

Beta = Ic / Ic(1 - alpha) = 1/(1 - alpha) = 667
