Let's assume she's real when you meet face-to-face...

Well, you probably know more about the girl you met online, unless you actually drilled her on all the questions that are in the dating services profile page. ;)

There's really not much of a difference except you know more background on the dating service girls and more about your chemistry with party girl.

Not much, save that they're both female. But here's the breakdown so far as I understand it:
1) A Party: She probably knows someone else you already know so you can find common ground. And get the lowdown on her, as well. She may or may not be in a relationship. Depending on the party, she may be a social, fun-loving person or an insane barfly.
2) Online: She is most certainly seeking a relationship. And probably looking for something a little better than she might find on the bar scene. You have one advantage of being "matched" with them which usually means you have some common points but keep in mind: I've never had a male friend who didn't find that their internet/chattings girl wasn't certifiably insane. Unless she's an extremely busy professional, why can't she meet someone nice in the real world? I mean, I'm 33; work insane hours, I'm a writer so I don't get out all that much most of the time and I STILL manage to meet nice, decent professional men. I'd consider asking myself why she's in a dating program in the first place.
Hope this helps!

There really is no difference. Besides the fact that when you meet a girl at a party, you can see her facial expressions, her body movement, etc. so you can get more information, kinda.

A girl online can be anyone. Unless you constantly web cam, all you are getting is text which is thought out. Negative habits can be edited out, while they appear in person.

So at a party, you can at least meet who they are better than online (unless you constantly web cam)
