I want to do well in school and I want to "succeed" in life, but my parents are always bringing me down.
I feel like they care more about how I'm doing in school than I do, and whenever that switches, they always take charge again.
I dont know what to do and I really do want to be motivated.

The very fact that you want to be motivated should motive you enough. Keep yourself away from the importunity of your parents and have a clear mission before your mind's eye and work accordingly. Good luck.

u need to be motivated to do well in school, because this, i just graduated in 07 and i been doin alot of drinkn and smokin weed for like 2 yr.s, ive stopped alot but by doing all these drugs i realized how sad i was.. and if hadnt completed my highschool diploma i would be on and even worse road.. at times ive felt so sad and the only thing that made me happy was the thought that id be going to college this january and will meet people and have a second chance at doing my schoolwork. life can b difficult once u graduate, because u start to realize everything aint put into place like a puzzle, u gotta work for everything.. were young and its ok to not know what u want in life. im awaiting for college to start and hopefully ill find something that interests me and will pursue it.. u should be motivated because right now the only thing in your life that u need to worry about is ur grades, once ur out of high school u have many more responsibilities. real talk. i hope it helps, message me if u need 2, i kno how troubled ive felt in the past and how important it can be to talk with some one.. good luck with your school!

Dear the motivation I have for you is simple, working for meals or owning the business!
If you get a education you can do and have almost anything in life you want or need. With out a education your a bee in the hive and working tell you drop of old age etc.
The best gift you can give yourself is your education.
My parents gave me 100.00 for a A 75. for a B 0 for a C took 75 for a D and 100. for a F or i. If your parents can do this good for you, if not do it yourself.
I paid cash for my first car, a 1966 mustang, I sold it this year. it cost $2651.46 i got over $40,000.00 for it. I invested in myself and it paid off very well. I have two Ret. and a business of my own. I work because I love to, not because I have too. Be your own boss someday!

I'm not totally sure what your askin so I'll answer your basic question. When I need to get myself motivated, I watch a movie with a character that I really like as a role model. I know it's silly, but after watching Legally Blond, I'm always ready to hit the books. Still, you need to want to be motovated, in your heart and mind, before this will work.

Take your parent's advice not criticism in a positive way always to supplement your morale and not otherwise. Positive thinking always makes a difference in life.

I dont get it. Let me understand-You say they care too much about your school work? But if you care too much, they take charge? I still dont get it.
Just be glad your parents care about you and your success.
Find something else that a lot of people dont get to gripe and be confused about.

Try reading, "Seven Habits for Highly Effective Teens." I think it will help you a lot. You are also overdue for a frank talk with your parents about how you feel, but you need to be calm about it.

long as you want to do well in school and I want to "succeed" in life, use that as your moitvation and try to put the things your partents say out of your mind. and just work toward trying to prove them worng.
