Your car insurance should cover it as part of covering your car wreck expenses. (or the other guys car insurance if the accident wasnt your fault.)

Otherwise you health insurance should cover the glasses considering circumstancances

Good Luck

I used to work for LensCrafters, and I know they have a program called Gift of Sight. If you truly need a pair of glasses and you can prove that you are financially unable to purchase a pair, they will provide a free eye exam, frame and single vision or lined-bifocal lenses. The frames are typically not the most attractive things you've ever seen, and they do use CR-39 (basic plastic) lenses which can be pretty thick if you have a heavy prescription, but at least you would be able to see. If I remember correctly you need to be referred to them by a non-profit organization such as a church or a school in order to qualify. I'm sure there are other churches or charities in your area that may be willing to refer you if you meet the financial requirements. I hope this helps.

The Lion's Club provides basic frames and lenses to low income families, or people having financial difficulties. They do not pay for designer Versace frames. They will be basic budget collection frames and standard single vision, or lined bifocal lenses, with no extra coatings or treatments. I'm sure you can Google Lions Club in Ohio and find a point of contact for them.

I've seen several patients whose glasses were ruined in a car accident and we were always told that when it is the result of a car accident, we are to call their car insurance, get the billing information, and bill them for the glasses and its always worked. Did you ask your agent about them covering your glasses? And if the accident wasn't your fault, then the other guy's insurance should be paying for the replacement of your glasses.

If you haven't asked your agent, it would be worth looking into.

Good luck!

If you can come up with $65, Walmart's optical should be able to make you a basic pair of single-vision glasses. Or, you could get new lenses put into used frames (maybe your own, or some from a thrift store.) for about the same price.

You can also order glasses online for under $25 (shipping included) from places like Zennioptical.com or lbweyewear.com.

If the accident wasn't your fault, you should be able to get some reimbursement from the other driver's insurance.

The lion's club is an organization that helps people get glasses.

Contact your local Lions Club. They have a program just for that.
