Actually, when you first wake, your stomach is completely empty. This means that the alcohol will hit you faster and harder. It all has to do with what is in your belly. Or, if you are in a hot tub it gets to your bloodstream faster.

Generally, you should just try and drink so much that you're still drunk when you wake up, then start drinking again. That'd be the fastest option to getting drunk in the morning.

Morning works for me. I wake up on the weekend and start pounding down Crown on the rocks to get my weekend started the right way. I stay drunk all weekend.

It depends upon food in your system and things like that, rather than the time of day. People who keep abnormal hours (swing shift or graveyard shift) don't specifically get drunk any differently than people who keep "normal" hours.
