Was it wrong of me to slap my boyfriend in the face after he called me a dumb slut and a stupid b*tch in front of a whole bunch of people?
I'm still kind of in a daze right now because of what happpened, but basically, we were outside of a club when we started to fight. I didn't call him any names or swear, I tried to keep it down actually, because I didn't want a crowd coming around us, you know? But then he said all those things to me, so I couldn't control myself.
I feel bad about it.. but I think he deserved it. Plus, he actually lunged at me like he was going to hit me, except that people held him back.
Was I wrong?

Now to be stingy, you are wrong for hitting him for any reason.
But for my own opinion, I do not think you are wrong. He should not have called you those anywhere, let alone in front of a bunch of people.
But of course hitting him might make matters worse...or it could have knocked some sense into him that he can't just push you around like that.

Abusive language should never be tolerated. Again, physical assault should also never be tolerated.
Both of you were wrong.
I would have fully supported you if you were graceful and left the scene without a word and dumped him the next day.

no you were not, if at anytime you feel threatened you can defend yourself no matter who it is and what the situation is. You have to take care of yourself or no one will.

yes, you were wrong. you should never just hit someone. would you think it was wrong if he hit you? i also wouldnt think it was wrong if he hit you back.
