Yes, they still deprive your body of nutrients it could be getting from healthier foods. Also, too much sugar can lead to diabetes, especially if you have a family history of diabetes.

Another downside is that when you eat a lot, especially sugary stuff, before bed it might keep you up and prevent you from getting restful sleep. That's not to say you shouldn't do it at all, just be reasonable with it.

yes, it is still bad. i agree with the previous answer about it messing with your sleep as well. carbs & sugary foods cause ur blood sugar to raise quickly and then drop later on. the more often this occurs the more likely/sooner ur body will get tired of trying to regulate it - thus leading to diabetes. opt for cheese & crackers or pb & fruit. ;)

Yes, they really hurt you. You need to learn why you are craving sugar and what to do about it. It's due to a lack of protein and good (saturated) fats.
