They mistakenly believe that since they are here in large numbers already that Americans will just give up and reward them for breaking the law.
I have heard no rational or reasonable argument that explains why this particular group of people should be given preference over the large numbers of people that have waited for years to come to America legally.

No one deserves amnesty. They all should get in line and follow the law the right way the first time.
Think about this, if the illegals would take the proper steps to come here legally, we wouldn't have the problem we have now and there will be no need to even consider amnesty. It is absurd to confer these illegals rights AFTER they have broken our law. Are we then sending the message that it is ok to break our laws, we don't mind? This is a slippery slope. What other laws (besides immigration) can then be disregarded then?

Amnesty for illegal alien criminals most certainly is "special consideration". It is actually REWARDING their criminal activity by allowing them to stay ahead of the millions of people still patiently waiting to come here legally. The ONLY fair way is to send them home to the back of the line behind those already in the immigration process.
How can anybody attempt to claim amnesty is NOT special consideration for those that broke our immigration laws to enter our country?????

GOOD question. I don't know WHY they think they are more special than immigrants from Africa, Europe, Asia or anywhere else. In my eyes they certainly aren't. There is no good reason why everyone else in the world should have to apply and wait years for a decision to immigrate, but they should be able to just walk over the border at will. When you figure it out, tell us all.

They probably think they deserve special consideration because a lot of our politicians, businesses, media and do-gooders pander to them.
Their kids go to school paid for by us, the American worker.
We post bi-lingual signs for them.
We have safe cities scattered around the country to protect them from being deported.
We have the feds who won't enforce immigration laws.

Los Angeles may already be lost as a third world in a few years and Texas, Arizona, New Mexico are in line waiting. Throw out all politicians who do not support closing the border. Its your grandchildrens future that is at stake.

i wonder the same thing.. but that is what our society is right now.. everyone deserves something for doing nothing.. I swear, our values are going downhill fast. This is the usa.. we have standards which have made us the best country in the world to live in.. We need to keep up our standards and enforce the laws we have. Im all for legal immigration, heck, we all are immigrants of some sort. But to me illegal is illegal. Where do we draw the line???

I don't have an answer to your question. It defies logic and reason. We should be giving free college tuition to American kids and free health care etc., not illegal alien criminals.
No Amnesty
No Handouts
Build the Fence
Enforce the Law

Because they've gotten it in the past. 1986. Also, many people constantly harp about allowing illegals to be the same as legals. But, mostly it's because today, people think that ANYTHING they want, they should get.

Because they don't understand simple things like the "rule of law". They have been given a sense of entitlement by their supporters,as if it is their right to just come here and they should just be given whatever they need or want. That is the message being given to them, once we taught that America was the "land of opportunity",now we're sending out the message that it's the land of entitlement.
