After my fiance and i had sex, she started her period on time a week later. She was on BC(for about 1month and 2 weeks), and switched BC the start of her 3rd month. She just had surgery last Friday 12/14/07, in which the nurse did a routine PT and came back negative. She tested herself 11/27/07 and one in early december, both came out neg. She was spotting all last week, heavier as the week went on( pinkish, but then later in the week redish) She started her (period)placebo pill last Sunday(12/16/07) which she is experiencinng a very abnormal period, but its still red. After the surgery, which was unrelated to her period or anything she was put on antibiotics and pain killers. She finished her antibiotics a few days ago, and stopped taking the pain killers due to feeling naseaus and didnt want to be couped up. I guess, my question is could she still be pregnant? i would think the test her nurse did before the surgery would be accurate and reliable. Are the medications she was taking

the cause of why her "period" is soo weird this month. She was also been having headaches and her stomach feels weird. could her body be withdrawing from the meds?? She is not naseasus anymore after stopping the meds. I think that she is overreacting, but she just freaksout until she knows for sure, ya know?
She has always said her stoach feels weird, and I try and tell her that she would only be about a month(correct me if im wrong) and she would not be feeling anything yet...... she also says her stomach looks bigger....

She started her period 11/18/07, had sex a week before that...we are in a long distance relationship, so she has not had sex since the last time.
She Changed BC after having sex. The nurse did the Test on 12/14/07. The last time she had sex was in November, when she came down.

Her period may be changing due to changing BC. Different BC has different effects on a females period. As far as the medications, anytime a woman is taking an ATB (antibiotic) it is necessary to use another form of contraceptive too. The ATB decreases the effectiveness of Birth Control. My educated guess is that she probably isn't pregnant, but anytime you have intercourse there is always a probability of becoming pregnant. Wait another week or two and retake a PT.

Her period is going to be wierd because she changed her BC. For me, my go a little funky for a couple months after having surgery, no matter what the surgery is. Don't ask why. But thats the way it is for me. No she obviously isn't pregnant. They did a test at the hospital and she did a couple at home. So its neg.

Yes, it's likely that her period has changed because of change in BC.Please consult a Doctor in the same Centre where she had her operation done.
