Why do you love God? Answering that question MIGHT help.
You ask specifically: "How are we so sure that christianity is the right religion like how do we know?"
Ah! You seem to be entering the phase of life where you need to apply critical thought in coming to decisions.
Many people, after some of their life experiences, finally conclude that their religion was teaching many untruths. I am one of these. I was raised Catholic.
However, I was finally able to separate "religion" from "faith." I am still a Christian because there is one thing that I did not stop believing -- and that is the primacy of true love.
I am a Christian but am at the point where it does not matter IF something I believe is not true. I just try to make my decisions as best I can and learn as much as I can to do this.
IF someone could PROVE absolutely right now that there was no afterlife -- I would still choose to live my life as I am living it now.
Experience has shown me that the happiest people I know are relatively "innocent" and have an abiding self integrity. And strive to be altruistic.

And whatever you do -- do NOT listen to the

His answer shows that he totally fails to use what God has given him -- his ability to reason.

You're not the only one who has ever questioned their faith nor the only one to ask if Christianity is the 'right' religion. It's human nature to think with our minds and not with our hearts and souls, it used to scare me all the time when I would try to think about life after death and come up blank.
But I know when I am before the Eucharist and seeing the sacrifice both God and Jesus has made for us, I know what I believe is correct. I can tell by the way emotions overwhelm me and the elation I feel before my God. It's not something I can explain easily, but it's an amazing feeling.
I don't want to take too long to answer this question as I could take up three pages, but I can tell you to research the Bible. The history of the Bible will explain a lot about the books found within in. A lot of people--amazingly enough--believe that someone was following Jesus around taking notes and then Jesus just handed over a bound copy of the Bible for the Apostles to use.
Truth is, the Bible wasn't compiled until 300 years later and that was because there were many heretical books floating about that people were believing. So the Catholic Council sat down and looked over the books at a historical stand point first and then decided from there, with the help of the Holy Spirit, which books were inspired and which were not.
You'll have to do a lot of research of your own, but I'll suggest starting with the History of the Bible and go from there. Remember though, you cannot just read the Old Testament or only the New Testament. The Old is found in the New and the New is revealed in the Old: They fit together and you'll understand it more if you read the Old Testament with the New, not just one half.

Honey, your religion is a completely personal thing. If it feels right to you and in your heart, then it's right. Don't worry about what others think or feel. At the same time, I'm not sure I'd call the Mormon bible 'fake', it's just simply different than your own. There are millions of Mormons that believe in their bible and their religion just as much as you do yours. Please, don't condemn other people's religions. That's the stuff that causes holy wars. It's not worth it. Believe with your heart. Love your God as he loves you, and you'll have nothing to worry about. :)
Faith, takes faith. it doesn't matter what you can see or 'know' with your mind... sometimes it just takes believing for the sake of believing. ;)

Of all the big religions, Christianity, Buddhism, Muslim, Christianity is the only religion to have their Savior return. The other religions, including Jews now, are still waiting for the first arrival of their Messiah.
Hindu's think that when the top guy dies, he comes right back to earth, and to India no less! That can't possibly be a reward for living right!
Jesus came and will come again, I have no doubts. Hope this helped you.

Christianity is an evidential faith. It is supported by facts of history. For instance, are you aware there are (secular) documents by Roman historians that corroborate many facts about Jesus?
We are not called to have faith without reason. Get a book or two on Christian evidences and check it out.
Lee Strobel's stuff is good. I personally like the Q & A format books better. Then you can zero in on particular questions you have. Josh McDowell and Norman Geisler have good books like this.
Other religons can not stand up to scruteny.
My son in college just debated Mormon elders and got them to admit their wasn't evidence in history to prove the Book of Mormon was from God. The basis for beleif was their subjective feelings that it is true.
He also got them to agree that feelings can be misleading.

I used to ask the same question, but I have learned that asking such questions can lead you to the one unpardonable sin - blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
Just count yourself lucky that you were born in America, where most people will be Christians and go to heaven.
It doesn't matter whether the bible is true or not or whether jesus even really existed (as new historic evidence suggests), because we do not want to be tortured in hell forever because we doubted our faith.
Besides, my pastor says that it is better that we believe in a myth than the 1 percent in a million that it might be true, because it is not good to go to Hell.
Just pray that if any of the other religions are true that God will show you and you can learn to believe the true one... I guess we should pray for objectivity.
If none of them are true then at least we've live a pretty good life, unless we take a lot of the scriptures literally or misinterpret some of it and do stupid or harmful things or get too fundamental.

well, you can't know for a fact since the Bible has no collaborating factual evidence that proves it's historical validity.
so as any of your Christian peers will tell you ... you have to take it on faith. you have to have faith that serpents and donkeys could talk in the Old Testament days and that a woman was turned into a salt lick and that the sun was halted in the sky (despite the fact that it's not the sun moving). and ya gotta take it on faith that Jesus walked on water, healed the blind with his spit and rose from the dead and then floated up into heaven.
and you can't know that the Mormon Bible is any more or less fake than the one you believe in, or that the Vedas are fake or the Koran is fake because all these holy books must be taken on faith as much as your chosen holy book. when you believe in something that can't be factually verified it's true for you. it's truth for you and your particular sect of Christian peers but that doesn't mean it's truth for everyone. it's just egotistical arrogance to believe that only that which you believe in is valid but i guess that's okay because most all religious folks believe their way is the only way.
PS. as an ex Christian i gotta warn ya. if you keep engaging your intellect you might end up thinking for yourself. careful!
your god and your religious peers won't like it.

My friend, Your question is normal. Most of us will have doubts from time to time.
One reason we know that Christianity is the only way to go is that it counters every other religion known to man. Most depend on good works or self to obtain our goals or they have to do something...to work for salvation. Christianity is a DONE religion...it depends upon the finished work of Jesus Christ when HE said It is Finished. It is relationship based, not work based and the empty tomb shows it is real.

Nothing wrong with questions..... and the ONLY answer is *faith*.. When it comes to God there is only 2 ways to go, you either believe Him or you do not........ stay in the word, study, pray, meditate on Him, and let Him answer your questions...... hard and easy.... it just takes time... we can each live a lifetime and NEVER have all the answers.... but that is ok...... the ONLY answer God needs to know is, Yes or No....... go in peace....... God bless
