from my last question, i unintentionally uncovered this question from many atheists. If God's will be done, then how do we have free will?
well,
God's plan and will are not always done. He has a plan for everyone, but the thing is, everyone has the power to either follow it, or don't. We pray that His will may be done, because we have free will and that we want His plan for us to be done instead of ours, after all, our plans suck because we are fallible humans.
so,
God has a plan that He HOPES people will follow, but that doesn't mean people HAVE to.

I think they are the same. Our will, is Gods will. God's will is our will. God wants for us, what we want for ourselves. Mistakes and all. It is a process of elimination... evolution of the soul. I also believe that God is androgynous. Both male and female energies combined. We are all One. We are God, broken into trillions of pieces. We are a direct physical reflection of the invisible energy called God, which is Love. Not just us humans, but all that exists. There is no Time. Time is just a word used to describe the space through which we move. Yes, I wrote that myself. Also, there is no "Devil" that is a man made character. Evil or darkness must exist in order to experience Light. It all exists for a reason, and it is all part of God. Spell "Evil" backwards..... Live.
Everything has a polar opposite. It is all purposeful.

I'm going to get a TON of thumbs down here. Thats OK. I speak my truth anyway and always. I have a wonderful relationship with God. We agree that this world is lost and confused and sadly primitive in so many ways. :::sigh:::
There is always hope.

Catholic mentality generally states that God grants free will to all His children to choose good or evil in their lives.

Most of the other denominations of Christianity state that free will only comes out of doing bad, as humans are unfortunately easy to follow the path of evil. In doing good, it is really the will of God or the Holy Spirit, acting within the person.

Hope this helps.

I have problem with the idea that no matter what I do my life is planned. Predestination to me is only that you have a choice to behave in a Godlike manner, to do the right thing. . .Free will gives me choices-to do the right thing or not. The meaning is all spiritual, not physical. Your physical world just reflects your spiritual commitment.

Does man really have free will?

The bible (God's word spoken through the prophets) clearly tell us God's will.

If man decides not to do God's will, then has God's will changed?

If man not following God's will exerting free well? Or he is just doing what he is predestined to do.

Answer: This is about God will and what man's will can do. If there is freedom in the choice, then man can choose not to exert his will. So far, that choice has not presented itself.

Amen, I agree..God created us to be able to think for ourselves and make our own choices but this dont always mean that our choices are right therfore comes the need for God to lead us in the right direction.God is our heavenly father with the same desires for his children that our earthly father has but if you raise your children with the best that you have there is always a chance they will make a wrong choice but even at that we still love them and are there to help them with their mistakes so they wont make them again.i hope this helps you. God Bless you to answer your question we have the opportunity to have both and still be free.

You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose freewill

If you like to be controlled by a book that's up to you
But what If your daughter was raped and killed, was that god's plan?
Would you say it's okay because god meant for her to die that way. Would you stand there and do nothing because god's plan was for that guy to come and rape and murder your child
