Nature-based.
Belief that "All Gods are One God." and "We are all children of the same Universe."
Mother Earth should be revered.
Respect for all living creatures.
Belief in reincarnation.
Now, I know most of this sounds like Wicca.
The main part is "All Gods are One God." I guess my question is, Being Wiccan, is it ok to consider going to a Christian church a form of showing respect to Mother Earth (whom I consider my Goddess), because of that "All Gods are One God" belief? The way I see it, the good message is there, and I take the sermon and interpret it to fit my beliefs. I was wondering if some would consider that hypocritical or degrading to one religion or the other. Any opinions on that?
Thanks! ~Sorry if that sounded confusing....

Wanted to add that the Christian Church is not my predominant place of worship. My husband is Christian and sometimes I'll go with him or to special functions the Church holds. Normally, I meet with my Coven.

Sweety, it doesn't matter what you have faith in, or how you show your faith. What matters is that you have faith and that you do show it. If you want to show your love to your goddess by going to the christian church, then, by all means, do it. I think some of the christians may find you to be a bit of a hypocrite, but what do they know about your relationship with your god? Who are they to tell you how you should and should not worship. For that matter, who are any of us to do so?

All gods are one god is not actually a traditional Wiccan belief. It has gotten very popular in the last couple decades among Wiccans but I find nothing distinctly Wiccan about it and in fact is counter to my own beliefs (and the beliefs of many Traditionalists whom I've questioned on the matter). THe phrase was first stated by an occultist named Dion Fortune and later quoted by Wiccan Doreen Valiente, and it snowballed from there.
I don't find you going to a Christian church to be an affront to Wicca. I think you should consider whether it's an affront to Christianity. Churches are dedicated to a very specific deity. Is it proper to worship one deity at another deity's temple? The issue here isn't whether you believe all gods are one god but rather whether the keepers of the temple (i.e. Christians) believe it - which they don't. "All gods are one god" is very contrary to traditional Christianity.
And from my personal perspective, when Pagans say they can freely interchange deities, I find it a bit offensive. Zeus and the Dagda and Kali have individual names for a reason. Their personalities and energies are distinct even if you do believe they're ultimately part of the same giant blob of godhood.

I know of several Wiccans who also attend Christian Churches as they interpret the Christian God as being an aspect of the Universal Divine they worship.
I do not look at it in the same way... BUT I do believe that it is possible for Wiccan or Pagan to attend a Christian Church with it being something that is done in a respectful way......

My gods are all not "one god". Sorry. If you met my gods, you would agree. While I do my best to respect other people's beliefs, my gods are still not all one god.
That being said I can still appreciate the beauty of a Christan service or even the faith practiced in earnest. Hel, I practie with Wiccans sometimes. Why? Because they are my friends. For the same reason they sumbel with me. I see no conflict. Respecting other people's beliefs does not restrict my own.

Let me answer your question with a question. (yeah, I know this is annoying as hell.) Does it matter? Believe what you want, and practice your beliefs any way you see fit. No matter what the answer is to the god-question. If it is an omni-potent being, he will accept whatever you give. He is wise enough to love all, I figure he'd be fine with people coming up with their own way to worship. Don't worry about what other people think of you. Do what you feel is right.

One thing that comes to mind is Hinduism. Although they hve many Gods, these are seen as emanation of the one Brahman. The conscience of man himself is another incarnation of the Brahman. Death results in incarnation in another form.
Hinduism has many sects. I'm not sure how much of the nature element you would find in it.
Philosopher Spinoza was also a pantheist. He believed all the world was one consciousness.

As a Wiccan for over 20 years, I find that "All Gods are one" is not only NOT Wicca, but downright contrary to traditional Wicca.
Do what you want, but that's not Wicca, hun.

Believing in one male God is NOT Wicca. You can't be christian and Wiccan. You're at the Apologetic stage. I broke through that stage before I dumped christianity on the roadside.
You're one or the other. You sound like an environmental, new age christian to me.

You make your own path in life. Take what you can use from every experience and source you can imagine and roll it all into one and just maybe you'll find something like peace within you. How you choose to believe is entirely up to you.
