...Do Muslims have a winter holiday of some sort? If so, what's it called?

I realized about thirty seconds after I asked this question that I have a Muslim friend who used to talk about Eid. I completely forgot about that. I left it on because I thought it would be beneficial to others who didn't know.

Islamic calendar is lunar. and a lunar calnder has some 354 to 355 days per years. so every years our calneder moves ahead for 11-days. in 33 years our holidays rotate in all season. However we have Eid Al Adha on 19th Dec, next year it would be 8-dec and so on

Thanks for asking. Its not a winder holiday cause it does not always happen in winter. We go by a lunar calender to determine the two holidays Eid al Fitr and Eid al Adha.

Eid al Adha was today. And it was a blessed day for me praise God. We went to prayer then went to a friends house. Had some wonderful food and celebrated this joyous holiday with good friends.

The only bad thing was my youngest son had a head on collision with another little boy. Praise God both are ok but it was scary for a minute we thought the other little boy's nose was broken. Praise God it was not just a little swollen and he had a busted lip. My little man got a huge knot on his forehead. But you know boys will be boy :)
