I've been on here for a while, but it's really getting bad, tons of these questions are non-sense and are only put here to make people feel bad when the questions should help people learn.

Ever hear the phrase, "You can dish it out, but you can't take it"? Christian Fundamentalists have been on the attack for years now, trying to deny rights to homosexuals, trying to outlaw abortions, trying to keep women from obtaining equal rights, and trying to impose their own morals - many of them non-biblical - on the rest of society. Non-Fundamentalists are finally fighting back by speaking out against their campaigns, their media onslaughts, and their mistaken notions of truth, and the Fundamentalists don't like it very much. They can dish it out, but they can't take it. So when people of good conscience stand up for their rights, Fundamentalists cry "foul play."

Sadly everyone takes their licks. Sometimes christians are on the defensive end of the meanness. Sometimes christians are on the offensive end of the meanness.

There are a lot of very respectful loving christians here ~ I could name several that really get my attention and I appreciate them immensely ~ but there are a few that are not so nice.

It would be lovely if everyone would just state their opinions and ask questions without unnecessary roughness. We don't have to adhere to the same system of thought to achieve peace.

I think you're seeing alot of prejudice against Christians here. The problem is that many non Christians have had terrible experiences with Christians. I've known Wiccans who have been beaten and threatened by Christians. So, many non Christians here assume that all Christians are like the fundies when, indeed, we're not. Especially up here in the Northeast. Christians are often very liberal and progressive.

Once in a while you get a question that seems like the person really wants to learn something,,,they are few and far between but that is the reason I keep coming...

It's open season on Christians on this forum... Atheists are allowed to say anything they want about God or Jesus,,,downright filthy things sometimes,,,and they don't get deleted,,,but let a Christian say something that an atheist doesn't like and they get their answer deleted...and get a violation. This is not a fair forum but it does reflect the way Christians are now being treated in the world. But cheer up.....I've read the back of the book and we win in the end....

EDITED FOR QUESTINGDUDE....that's right,,,go on telling that myth that atheists are so much smarter than Christians,,,,show me your proof or source for that info please...

Because, some folks tend to lump all Christians together. It's pretty sad really, because of some overzealous types we're all just lumped in together. Personally I could care less what other people do with their lives. The one thing I've noticed is this some of these athiests tend to be just as overbearing as evangelical Christians in speaking what they believe is the truth.

It appears as if the answers prove your point. Hey dreamdress2 The end of the book is great isn't it. What a victory to look forward to. Anyway back to the question I think the answer to the lack of understanding is found in 1 Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." As long as they take their stands to oppose God and the Spirit of God is not working in their lives they will never understand the truth no matter how many times you try to tell them.

Yes, there are some questions that are posted here merely to push people's buttons, but most of them are posted in an attempt to show skepticism for a commonly held belief. And the fact is, some Christians are very uncomfortable (or are not used to) having their beliefs challenged. Sometimes that's misconstrued as persecution.

People that dont believe or wont admit they believe or even those who do believe in God and call on him in times of crisis, are just silly people trying to make believers question their faith. All over the world ther are silly people that want happy people to be upset for what they believe.Actually some people dont care about others feelings and in here they can be whatever they want...maybe their lives are so bad that they want christians to feel as bad as they do.Ive always been told that misery loves company oh well....They dont bother me I know they just want to rile us up because we love the Lord.

They don't understand. They've never experienced God, and therefore, have no idea what Christians are talking about.

The fact that there is a God frightens them in a way. That they really can't do everything on their own. They do need help, and love from someone they can't scientifically prove, or see with their eyes.

It's a good thing that Christians aren't brought down by non-believers. It doesn't effect my beliefs. If anything, It strengthens me. I pray alot more.

Those who say "Christians are mean to everyone else" must have a wrong perception of a "real christian." Yes, we would love for non believers to join us in our walk with christ, but most aren't "mean" about it. Christians are human as well, not perfect, as some try to think. We all make mistakes.

Why do christians feel like the whole world is mean to them, and feel that they are nothing but goodness. Don't they realize how evil the rest of the world views them?

Every side of a religion debate has a few haters. The fact is, there are a great deal more atheists on the internet. In my experience, atheists tend to be more accepting of new technology. I don't mean to offend any christians, it's just a fact. And, since there are more atheists, there are more haters on the atheists side. Simple fact of social science.
