I have been on dating sites and have noticed the opposite. It seems like there are more normal weight men than overweight men. Maybe it is the dating site you use.

Obesity rates are high in the US. Don't let the cover fool you, though. A great person make lurk underneath. When I met my wife, many years ago, I was in prime shape. 6 foot 1, 235 pounds, plenty o' muscle. Now I'm not nearly that fit. Nor is she. Our love continues to grow each day. All that to say, don't write one off just because of weight alone.

i would suggest that they are tired of being judged by their looks and want to be judged for their personality --- provided of course they have one (many dont) ---- im overweight and went online because i really dont like the pub/club/bar scene --- i met some ladies (looking for a long term relationship) and while the first did not work out i then met my lady --- best wishes

because they can't get themselves to talk to women in real life so they go on dating sites where they can be the most appealing guy and have self confidence that way to date women
