Never mind the gay part. Your nephew is only 12. He doesn't need to "hook up" just yet. For right now he has his hand and an Internet connection.

ummm, it's pretty much the same as a straight person, isn't it? You just gotta ask, or make it really obvious what it is you're interested in, and the other person will either recipricate, or say "no thanks".
Isn't 12 a little young to be "hooking up" though, gay or straight? I think waiting till high school is best! Everything is too new and still in "unknown territory" in middle school.

You don't need to be attempting to help your 12 year old nephew "hookup" with anyone, whether it be a male or female.
He is 12 for goodness sakes!

12 is too young to "hook up" whether you are gay, straight, bisexual, or even plaid. As his aunt, you have no business getting into it no matter if he is 12 or 82
