I am planning to go for my honeymoon trip in late April. Our preferred places are Australia, Los Angeles, New Zealand, Switzerland and Istanbul. As this is our 1st time ever trip together, we hope we enjoy our the hospitality there. We preferred cold countries as we come from Asia country. W have at least about 17-20 days to spent our honeymoon together. Apart from snow, mountain and romantis places, shopping is our next target. Hope we are able to get fast response as we are in our mist of planning now.

april in australia isn't that cold and the snow wouldn't have started yet either. Actually April is a beautiful month to be here in.
Hospitality is not a problem no matter what part of Aus you plan to go to. We're pretty friendly and accomodating!
Shopping in melbourne is your best bet but sydney isn't bad either.
If you want somewhere with mountains and romance either the blue mountains where it might be a bit cooler for you (which is near sydney/nsw) or The Great Barrier Reef and all the nearby islands are just beautiful and a huge favourite amongst honeymooning couples. My husband and I went to Port Douglas for our honeymoon in May and it was so beautiful, quiet and romantic. (GBR is off the Queensland coast). However going north Queensland might be a little warmer but not too hot or anything.
Western Australia, the south part, has some beautiful beaches and wonderful scenery but then if you go north in Western Australia you will get to some of the most inspiring scenery you've ever seen. Northern Territory will give you Ayers Rock but it'll be hot out there.
There really is something to see in every state of australia and I highly recommend coming here for your honeymoon. You won't find our types of scenery and hospitality anywhere else. We've got sun, beaches, mountains, dessert, snow and heaps more. So something to suit everyone!
congrats on the wedding and have fun planning!

This is just my 2 cents ... but it is from personal experience: Go on a honeymoon trip that is relaxing, like a beach vacation type thing. Unless you are having a very laid-back wedding, you'll need it! (You might not think so now but you will probably.)
We made the mistake of going on a driving vacation in country where they drive on the left side of the road and it was stressful (being from a country where traffic drives on the right). Plus, we were just trying to jam too much travel into too short of a time at a busy time of year. If I had to do it all over again, I would go to some place not that far away and do something that doesn't require a lot of planning/decision-making/thinking. Save that type of more adventurous travel after you're solidly settled into being married.

Well..Australia in April is generally not that cold. If you are after snow, mountains and romantic places, that sounds like New Zealand, or Switzerland to me. Istanbul is amazing, but (even though I LOVE it there....) not the most romantic place. Neither is Los Angeles. In Australia, if you go to Sydney, then you can do a trip to the Blue Mountains, where you'll find lots of romantic getaways.....but not likely snow. Switzerland is extremely beautiful, moutains and greenery...romantic...but again I'm not sure if there'll be guarantee of snow that late in the year.
Swiss hospitality is great....as is Aussie/NZ/Turkey. America...well...it's ok!
Enjoy your honeymoon.

Definitely not Los Angeles - it's too widespread, the touristy things to do are cheesy, the cool things to do take a lot of time and planning to figure out, there's always traffic and you probably won't enjoy yourselves.
My two cents for two points.

I know its not on your list but I live in London and I reckon its the best place in the world! Oh, and if you like cold countries, you could do far worse than come to England!

Train travel in Switzeland is really good . you would love it. Or hire a car in NewZealand and stay in the hotels and motels just plan your route and book as you go then you are free to roam around to the areas of your choice.
