ok, i'v been able to do this for ages

on my right wrist, i extent my thumb and rotate my wrist in a counter-clockwise direction and it makes a cracking sound. not like knuckle cracking, but more like a grinding popping sound. Also, its not limited to just one crack, i can go for atleast 6 rotations before it becomes painful.

I'm just curious as to what this is, what could cause this, is it serrious, and should i get it checked out.

(my friend calls it a 'clicker' and she has it too ((same wrist, same prosedure to make it pop)))

Your hand bones have a covering like a smooth velvety and fluid covering. As we get older or through arthritis, we tend to loose this cover, it gets tattered, raggedy and frays, the fluid is less and less. We start having trouble.
Your hands become tired, the pop and snap. Sometimes surgery is the way out, this is between you and your Doctor but, this is a one way street.

There are controls if they work for you, some are expensive. and pain relievers, speak with your doctor.

I have this too. My doctor says it's just air trapped in the joints. Nothing to worry about. I've had it for years with no problems.
