Because the majority of humans NEED to feel that there is something out there greater than themselves. They need to feel like somebody divine hs "got this". Their own feelings of inadaquacy drive them to want to believe there is something more. Something that can at least give them a better afterlife, especially if the lives they are living right now suck.
Yeah, I know, to all the crispies out there my torchproof wall is still up!:)
I am my own god and therefore I will take full responsibility for the way my life turns out. Nyah.
Don't believe everything you think you believe!

I don't claim to "know" everything that happened or why or what is yet to happen or what Jesus did in detail...
I 'know' because He found me. I was as unbelieving as the next unbeliever, and I didn't know anything more about the God stuff than what I had heard. Never read the Bible as I couldn't understand enough to be able to read it.
The general idea made no since, not logical, probably a mix of myths and compiling stories told over generations making a book written by man and translated by man. And, if god is real, why does he let (whatever) happen? And if he does let these things happen, then I don't want any part of him. I don't want to be a paun in his chess game.
BUT> I met Him. And I knew things that I had not been taught, or had read. I wasn't looking for Him, I didn't know I needed Him (or something, or anyone). Didn't need help, I could take care of things myself. But, when He came to me, it was all good and real. NO, He wasn't visible or audible, but I did, somehow, know He was there and who He was and what He can do. It was a presence and not a brief presence. That closeness went on for several months and He remained close until I turned away to go down a path I chose. Years later, I came back.
So, that is why I 'know'. Why He chose to come to me, I don't know, I just KNOW He did. It wasn't an emotional encounter or a humbling encounter; He was just there and I could talk to Him. And He responded to my conversation and my concerns.
I have alway been a realist, and He is real.

faith is simply that. Belief in the unprovable. I dont really care what ppl believe as long as it makes them a better person. cuz most 'good books' have plenty of battles. There's something there 4 everyone.
Sometimes it is not what happened either. The fact that a person existed is good enuff for many. More or less these people did something "against all common logic[from the science available to them at that time]" to get a lot of attention. Jesus to some and Yeshua to others. The stories are about people who overcome or become victim to the world's (still prevalent) vices. If its 2000 years old it has more wisdomwhich in turn was meant to help you out on your journey. But hey to each his own.
There are a lot times people overreact, but think about the last time u won on a scratchoff. no not just your money back. a substantial gain. U were excited. Now u beat the odds [but a set odds at that]. U can attribute that to timing its all cuz I'm one of those 'free-will' peoples. u can do what u want here but if the norm dont agree then u will punished. sounds rather god-like to me. 4 good N 4 bad. I hope u experience him oneday. But hey its not like their arent evil spirits as well. so i hope u meet the right ones really. we just have the potential to b and evil and check this out. Evil is wiser than u bc its what 2000, 10000, 55000 years older than u so think about it. If it wont make sense it wont make $$$. think about it. u gotta fill your basic need but when people wont help who will? u gotta answer that Q.

God is absolutely real. Im sure you heard that a thousand times and not bought into which for many unbeliver it is extremly hard to except the fact that theres a God.
JUst something i feel i should say : in the beggining scientists say that gases or somethin made the big bang and it started everything but hre did the gases get there? where did the space get there? There is a creator who is the one and only true God and he wants you to know him and it's his will for you to know him and belive and understand how awesome he is and for you to live for him. Theres a lot of crap in this world that can allow our minds to wonder off and come to the conclusion God is a fake but the truth is..God is real.
God bless, Tony

People can't even claim that what they feel inside is 100%. Have you ever had the feeling someone was betraying you, but then found out it wasn't true? Feelings are a reaction to a chemical in the brain....the brain is very imaginative and can be duped with little effort. This is why religion is sorta successful at mind-controlling weak-spirited people.

There is a knowing in one's heart that cannot be given to others. Paul had this but He also said this:
1 Cor 13:12: For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

For some of us, our God is real, not because a book tells us so or a minister tells us so, but because we had something happen that we can't quite describe, but which left us knowing unquestioningly that there is a God, there is a Goddess, and we are Loved.

what is in your heart or gut feeling
is your name is your name..not somebody else.
or..12 x 12 is 144..yet another person say..no that 140.
or say 2 x 4 is 6..not 8.
but you know in your heart 2 x 4 is 8..not 6.
this simplicity is how we know
GOD exist..we jsut have that GUT KNOWING>
some had heard a thought
some heard a voice
some seen him..
some actually felt GOD..on and on.
YET..GOD is a SPIRIT.
it's not a mental assessment.
it is a spiritual assurance.

Mmm no. The reason that I believe in the Bible is because it is very accurate. No part of the Bible ever contradicts with another part, the only time it does is when somebody misinterprets the text. But the fact that it was written over like four thousand years by different authors who probably didn't have any way of communicating with eachother, and for it to be that accurate, wins me over for sure.
Peace out
