Based on the wording of your question, your spelling and your grammar I would say the opposite is true.

>>for someone to hold tight of an ancient book, refusing any >>logical thinking about human origin and insists on 'Faith' with >>black and white thinking, do they have lower IQ than people >>who can stand up on their own feet?
It's interesting that you oppose "black and white thinking," but then you ask a question that rests on a black-and-white assumption: i.e., religious people refuse to think logically.
Study history sometime and you'll discover that quite a few brilliant people were religious, including such towering intellects as Isaac Newton. Nor is this just a phenomenon of the past. Today, many Christian scholars and teachers are learned, accomplished individuals, with in-depth knowledge of history, sociology, philosophy and language.
BTW, truth and the laws of logic are very black-and-white, and you couldn't think rationally without them, so you may wish to re-think your objection to "black and white" thinking.

Boy is this a loaded question. It would also be considered a non question since this is just your attempt to voice your own opinions rather than actually gain knowledge, therefore making it a violation of Y!A rules. I will not report it because I don't think it is right to do.... but some might. Just a little heads up.
Personally I believe there are smart and dumb on both sides. Some people are Atheists because they are too lazy to care what the Bible says. Some people are Christian because they were raised like that and are too lazy to search into it any more.
On the other hand,
Some Atheists have actually searched and come to what they believe is a logical conclusion and some Christians have searched and come to what THEY believe is a logical conclusion.

My parents are Christians as are so many of my aunts and uncles and they're very smart people. I think the reason a lot of Atheists and non-believers in general are saying people of the Christian community have low IQs is because they don't fully understand religion themselves and so therefore they want to make Christians look stupid and make fun of them. I'm not a religious person myself by the way, but Christians don't bother me. I've got plenty of Atheist friends whom I've seen mock Christians. I think that Atheists and all non-believers or other people of other religions should stop worrying about what this and that person believes and just stick with their own beliefs and thoughts. It's not the end of the world.

I don't believe that to be true, but since I've never done a study, I couldn't say for sure.
I would however like to say that I did not grow up a Christian, and I wasn't raised in a "religious" household. In fact, I am the only practicing Christian in my family. I became a Christian as a young adult (in my twenties). So in response to another poster, I wasn't taught to believe anything. I made up my mind when Jesus touched my heart.

Jocko, you really should now post what percentage of US citizens are Atheist and what percentage are Christian. Your statistic alone means nothing.
There have been studies done that look at this, but the difference is minimal. It is about 2 points. That means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

No. Just because you believe in something, and others doesn't. That does not mean you have lower IQs. Believing is not based on IQs.

The last poll I read was 40% of the scientist community believe in a God that is personal and answers prayer.
It won't be too long before everyone is a believer, just like those locked out of Eden by the Guarding Angel, but belief won't save you. Either will joining a church. You are only saved by allowing God to rule in your life. Jesus said you must be born... of the Sprit.
And a Bible code proves Jesus is the Messiah. See www.abiblecode.com

I would guess that statistically: yes, considering that religion needs to be taught and indoctrinated for people to believe it's true, while most atheists had the critically thinking minds to question what they were taught.
I don't mean it in a mean way, but when you think about the bible belt and the low IQs of those who never leave their state and experience other cultures, I think statistically it is accurate to say that most atheists have higher IQs.
There are some genius christians out there too, and probably some really dumb atheists as well. But I would guess that atheists are smarter on average.
