I came to on the bathroom floor and I couldn't get up. My head was all funny and messed up. I felt like I had been hooked up to a huge electric charge. My husband came looking for me, we work together, and wanted to know why I was on the floor. I vaguely remember him being in there. He got angry and left for work. I lost consciousness again. About an hour later my daughter woke up and helped me get to the couch in the living room. What in the hell is wrong with a man that would leave his wife in that state not even knowing what is wrong? On top of it all the floor was hard and cold. What is his problem? Said it cost him money.

I wish it wasn't true. But, it is. I even had to go on to work as soon as I was able to stand up. I don't understand what is happening in my life lately. Weird, huh?

I feel like it may have been a seizure. Not a bad one, just a little one. I've had friends that had minor, or partial ones. Sometimes you have that one and it never happens again.

Jeezus, Squirt... that's a horrible thing for a husband to do! At a minimum you fainted, you may have even had a siezure... you needed to be taken to the doctor! I hope you're ok!

You definitiely need to talk to him about this... and go to a doctor, with or without him!

The doc's office should tell you when to stop taking all those kinds of medications. Usually it is between 5-7 days before surgery. The length of your hospital stay will depend on how extensive your surgery is, how well you do after surgery and how well controlled your pain is post-op. I'd guess that your stay will be around a week long. Best idea is to call the doc's office and get your pre-op instructions in writing; that's why you pay the doc the big bucks- to answer all your questions before surgery. There should be instructions for you about what to do pre-op, how long to expect to stay in the hospital, etc. MAKE sure that all your questions are answered before you have surgery; if you have any left on the day of surgery, DO NOT go to the OR until you are completely clear on everything. That is your right as a patient. You also have the right to have an explanation before consenting to any procedure, the right to have your pain controlled properly, the right to know who everyone treating you is. I'm an OR nurse. If you have any other questions, contact me

WTF!!! I mean SERIOUSLY W**T**F!!!!

Is he brain damaged? You could have been deathly ill!!!

I pass out from low blood pressure, so I know what it's like to wind up on the floor, dazed and woozy in need of assistance. It's bad enough to pass out like that, let alone have someone walk off and leave you there, not even bothering to get you any help at all.

What's his problem? I'm sorry hon, but I can't fathom how the hell anyone could do that. He must be an @ss. Either he thought you were kidding around (unlikely as it would have been obvious you were ill) or he has a serious mental problem.

I'd be demanding an explanation. You might want to re-evaluate things if he's not even willing to act as any decent human being would when you are ill or in trouble. I don't generally get this p***** about something but what he did is inhuman...

He needs to know how bad he screwed up and the implications of what he did.

I feel so bad for you, I will I could give you a real world hug ((((Squirt)))). I hope you are feeling better. Did you get checked out?

How awful! You should see a doctor, or ask a friend with medical skills about what happened and figure out what's wrong!

Also, i suggest you talk to your husband about it. If he had to nerve to leave you like that, then there's something wrong with him, i'm sure of it. Nobody has any reason to put money before a life. You could have been dying and he would have been complaining because he lost a "good deal"!

You really need to have a talk with him when you're feeling up to it. As for how you're feeling, I suggest that you take it easy for the rest of the day, or even the night and perhaps take an aspirin or something to help you feel better, along with talking to that doctor.

This has made me sooo mad that I can't think of enough bad words for that guy! Throw him out! While he's gone to work making the all-precious money, put his things in garbage bags and put them outside, change the locks, and file a restraining order. Call an attorney. I don't endorse divorce, but it truly sounds like he doesn't care about anyone. How are you feeling now? If you are still feeling funny, call a relative, friend or neighbor to take you to the hospital, the cost be damned. Your heath is much more important then money. That must have been really scary for your daughter too. I hope she is an older child, to help you out.

I really and truly hope things look better for you in the new year.

1. Have you seen a doctor? If not, go right now. This could be something as simple to treat as low blood pressure, hypoglycemia or anemia. It could also be a brain tumor, a stroke or an aneurysm. Don't gamble with your health; especially considering who'd be raising your kid if you bought the farm.
2. If my husband did something like that to me, I'd file criminal negligence charges, tear him to shreds and kick the mother trucker to the curb. He'd be lucky not to get a caning. Once done with him, I'd find his mother and rip her a new one too, because clearly, he had no home training to teach him how to care for his loved ones. Seriously, if you keep this man, he owes you an apology and he needs some therapy, stat.
3. Time for a hot new boyfriend. Believe me, despite what they'll have you believe, those things do grow on trees! You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a man whining that he can't find a good woman who won't steal all his CD's and sleep with his best friend. ;)

You should go to a doctor and tell them what happened. They may need to run tests. Get well. Then after you are well you may want to check into finding a husband that shows some empathy. There is no excuse for you husband to leave you like that. What if you were having a stroke or a heart attack.? He needs to do a lot to atone for this. He must prove himself for a long time.

... that's just too weird to put into words. I know you have to be feeling horrible hurt to be left on the floor in a state of who knows what.

please ... get yourself checked out medically. It sounds like epilepsy and needs to be investigated. If you're in good health otherwise, this needs to be made a top priority. This could be serious

your husband .. I don't know, but you certainly deserve better

dealing with teh husband issue #2 priority .. your health comes first

how frightening this all must be for you. Not only have you been frightened by an unknown illness that would cause you to faint but you were very wounded by someone you know and love. Neither of these things are acceptable or something to dismiss. Please seek out medical intervention and please confront your spouse for his behavior. You may have to make some hard choices in both areas. My heart and thoughts will be on you during this time you have to face. If you desire I would be happy to send prayers on your behalf.

Looks like you need to sit him down and have a serious talk. Did he know that you passed out? Also, go to the doctor as soon as possible. This could be serious. Dont play around.
