I've been in church's and heard tongue's and never saw anyone on the floor or looking like they were having a seizure. I do believe that if their is someone that is speaking in tongue's that their should also be an interpretation. I believe the gift and miracles of God are hear today. God is the same and doesn't change.

I fall on the ground all the time. When the presence of God comes upon me, my legs get weak and I just topple over. When down on the ground, you can hear everything that is going on and can get up whenever you want. While down, though, His presence is so wonderful, it is like being in heaven. All the worries and cares that I have been carrying are just lifted away. I have been healed also. For speaking in tongues, it is when the Holy Spirit is speaking through me. When the Holy Spirit speaks I am allowing Him to speak the perfect will of Godinto the situation that I am praying about. This way I am not allowing my personal thoughts or ideas to come into the situation.

It isn't like that...really. Its about having God's spirit within you. Its to give you power over the devil and to be a powerful witness for God. The speaking in tongues part is when we let God have control over even what comes out of our mouth. It should be a time of refreshing and joy. Romans 14:17 says"For the kingdom of God is righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost". God is always in control.God is also always a gentleman. Sometimes out of the ordinary things happen. But after many years I can't say I've seen a "seizure".But I in no way doubt it. Feel free to e-mail me if you have more questions. God Bless!!!!!!!

Jesus told the disciples in Mark 16:15-17 the following:
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Acts 2:38, 39, Peter preached the first gospel message on the day of Pentecost and this is what he said:
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.
Speaking in tongues is the evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, it is the believer's private prayer language and also a sign to the unbeliever. When the Lord Jesus Christ told his disciples that this is what will happen, it did and still does!
When the Spirit of God moves upon the believer, that person yields himself, body, soul and spirit to the move of God. To many in the world it may seem to be foolish, however, those who scoff and mock are foolish for rejecting the presence of God.

I pray in tongues but i dont throw myself on the ground and bark like a dog and stuff. lol I dont understand that behavior either. But I wont judge them because I dont understand praying in tongues either. I know it is an intersession of prayer. I dont really know what I am saying I just know when I am supposed to pray in tongues. And I know when the Lord is involved. Its hard to explain. Just like it is hard to explain how I know i have a relationship with God. When he taught me how to pray in tongues it was a giant step in faith for me. Now I can break out at any time. Hope that helps.

Actually...speaking in tongues is something that happens when you recieve the Holy spirit. It is a gift from God and something that anyone can recieve.
Why do you mock something that you do not understand.
Also speaking in tongues is a form of prayer that the devil does not understand.
So when you are praying to God he can't go against you bc he doens't know what you are saying.
Speaking in tongues helps those as well that do not know what to say by using words, so they use this type of prayer in the understanding that God knows their heart and understands what they are praying about.

Well, hopefully my answer can help you to understand why we dance(or shout) and speak in tongues...
SHOUTING/DANCING:
Shouting is a way of releasing ones self fully to God and allowing him to take complete control. Now, shouting is not necessary for the work of God to be accomplished because God can accomplish his work without the shout. The scriptures say nothing that would prohibit shouting in churches where it is accepted at proper times. Though the word itself is not used Luke 19:37 comes very close to describing a shouting church service. Not everyone may shout because everything that each person does is supposed to be personal between that person and God.
In 1st Chronicles when Solomno had finished building the temple he was or great joy, shouting is usually a spontaneous expression of joy and praisie at times of extraoridnary blessings of God.Psalms 5:11 God says let all that put their trust in the Him rejoice and shout for joy. Psalms 32:11 also give scriptures on shouting.
Remember when David danced before the Lord with all his might because he was thankful? The heart according to Epesians 6:6 the heart is where our "will" resides.
SPEAKING IN TONGUES:
The Bible mentions speaking in tongues 35 times. God does not fill His book with thinkgs of non importance.
I Corinthians 14:4,5 Paul tells us to desire spiritual gifts, speaking in tongues is one of those gifts. Tongues are Gods language (Heavenly language). When people speak in tongues they are not speaking to man but to God. He utters in his spirit and it conncets with God.
In Mark 16:17 Jesus says that those who believe in Him will speak in NEW tongues, nothing that is made up by man.
God's word says that tongues are of the gifts of the spirit. When someone gives us a gift its not because of anything we have done, but because they wanted us to have it, they were thinking about us!
I Pray that God gives you and understanding of his gifts!

many diverse communities communicate in tongues. decrease back contained in the Seventies, I undergo in ideas the Charismatic circulate (which coated talking in tongues) starting to be to be increasingly greater frequently happening between Roman Catholics (and a few months in the past, in my state, there grow to be a practice for Charismatic Catholics, so i'm assuming that this is nevertheless happening in some aspects). i've got met some (yet no longer many) Baptists who have faith in it. some Nazarenes, too, besides as some non-denominational human beings. yet for the main section, this is an figuring out trait of the Pentecostal communities. yet no longer all Pentecostals communicate in tongues. i've got met some Pentecostals, in maximum cases assembly of God human beings, who found the finished element very embarrassing, besides the fact that they found out that their opinion grow to be contained in the minority of their church.

Not everyone who speaks in tongues falls on the floor. You need to study the scriptures on this subject for yourself!
