Check out the information available on www.anysoldier.com

All the information you need will be there, except for how to raise money.

Certain gifts (listed on above website) are not appropriate.

Remember this: Members of a military team or crew share things with each other, so if you are planning to send food, send enough to be shared.

Here's an idea: Some soldiers have no family, therefore, no cards or letters or anything comeing from home. I can assure you something as simple as a card, or letter, from an appreciative person, or group, arriving on a regular basis to that lonely soldier will do more good than sending him/her all the merchandise from the inventory at your local Wall Mart.

Have all the students in your class, and the teacher, sign the card/letter and enclose a short letter to the soldier from each student and the teacher. Do this on a monthly basis. You may not be able to arrange for you regular mailings to go to the same soldier, but the format of this "Idea" would work well, regardless of who the lonely soldier-recipient is. KEEP COMMUNICATIONS CHEERFUL: THESE GUYS & GALS DO NOT NEED ANY DOOM AND GLOOM, THEY HAVE ENOUGH OF THAT ALREADY.

Thanks for thinking of our service men and women who are away from their homes.

Write letters thanking them, and ask what they might need. Give them an address to mail back with the things they need. Then, when you have the reply hold a donation thing where the class with the most donations gets a pizza party. To supply the class with the pizza, try and find a pizza company that will supply 3 or 4 free boxes of pizza depending on the class size.

Something like that, I hope you come up with some ideas and I love the fact your showing care for the troops overseas.

Merry Christmas, and happy holidays.
